Liberty Hall: The Legacy of Marcus Garvey honours the memory and work of Jamaica’s First National Hero. Located at 76 King Street, Kingston, it is a cultural educational institution that speaks first to the needs of the surrounding communities, then to the rest of the nation, then to Africans in Africa and the Diaspora, and then to the rest of the world.

The primary mission of Liberty Hall is “To inform the public about the work of Jamaica’s First National Hero and to use his philosophy and opinions to inspire. excite and positively affect the self-identity of Jamaican people, while creating social and economic wealth.” This mission is supported through the activities of the various units within the organization, those being, the Marcus Mosiah Garvey Multimedia Museum, the Garvey Multimedia Centre, The Garvey Research/Reference Library and the Gift Shop.

Liberty Hall is a special project of the African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank which is a Division of the Institute of Jamaica, an Agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.
